COMPLIMENTARY TICKETS

Nature can be unpredictable, and If you’ve been unlucky enough to be in the 2% of our passengers who haven’t seen whales on the tour, we hope you will have a chance to join us again. 

In reference to your original booking (let’s save paper!), you are welcome to join us again free of charge.

1. General Terms

This ticket is valid for returning passengers on a free whale watching tour with Friends of Moby Dick in Húsavík in case no whales or dolphins were spotted on the originally booked tour.

• This ticket is valid for 2 years from the date of the original departure (date of issue)

• The ticket is subject to availability on the boats - come by before the tour for standby ticket (if we are full and someone doesn’t show up) or contact us directly to make sure if we have space

• The ticket needs to be exchanged in the ticket office upon arrival for check-in

• The returning passenger needs to be ready to show ID or details of the previously booked tour

2. Booking

Complimentary tickets cannot be booked via our website - please contact us directly via email or call: info@friendsofmobydick.is or mobile: +354 859 4253. This is a standby ticket, and we may not always have availability on the spot.

3. Refunds

We do not offer refunds for non-sighting tours. Our tours are based on wildlife watching. Even though our yearly sighting statistics are great, it can occasionally happen that we will not spot animals during the tour. Skjalfandi bay is an important feeding ground for whales, and the possibility of seeing them here is very high, in case of a non-sighting tour, the cost of operation for us is the same, and non-sighting tours are equally important for the research that takes place in our area. We truly hope you will have a chance to join us again and experience for yourself how great it can be!
